  • The wooden bridge in Büren an der Aare
  • Square in Büren an der Aare
  • Mill

"In search of relaxation, we went to the nature reserve "Häftli", the ideal place to unwind after a stressful week. The frogs croaked, the birds chirped and we even saw a heron, which is unfortunately an endangered species. Our kids were fascinated and explored the surroundings. After a pleasant picnic we walked to Büren. We had booked the guided city tour in advance. The mighty wooden bridge was very impressive. We learned interesting facts about the fires, which destroyed the bridge, and why the paw of a bear is in Büren’s coat of arms. A refreshing swim in the river Aare gave us strength for the journey home."
