"One of the best ways to visit Estavayer-le-Lac is to follow the wall surrounding its old town. Discover this particularly well preserved medieval city by undertaking the 1 ½ hours long stroll in the shade of this city wall full of history. The stroll leads you along the medieval surrounding wall all along (or almost) and offers nice views on the old town. Round towers, entrance gates, small alleyways, fountains, stone bridge. The marked path is easy to find: All you have to do is to follow the brown signs with the inscription "Circuit des remparts". All along the marked path there are informational signs that explain the buildings and the historical sites."
