Estavayer-le-Lac is a medieval town at the lakeside which enchants its visitors by its charm at first sight. The 13th century castle and the collegiate church bear witness to the town’s rich past. At the lakeside, families and water sports lovers will enjoy the varied offer and sandy beaches. 

Good to know

  • The best way to get to know Estavayer-le-Lac is to follow the city walls around the historic center. This marked circuit takes approx. one hour and allows visitors to discover the most important buildings of the old town. A brochure is available at the tourism office.
  • If you would like to get to know the historic town center of Estavayer-le-Lac in a fun and comfortable way, why not take the «Petit train touristique». Commentaries in English, German, French, Italian and Spanish are available on request.
