I very much liked the city of Solothurn with its impressive St. Urs cathedral and the beautiful nature surrounding it. In the traffic free old town I saw and discovered many things: historical buildings, numerous fountains, interesting museums and shops. A very special meeting point is the farmer's market, where you can buy fresh flowers and agricultural products of the region. It takes place every Wednesday and Saturday morning between 8.00 and 12.00. Solothurn has also a very convincing sport offer: a network of about 500 km of cycle tracks, hiking trails and a high wire adventure park.

Enjoy a boat trip on the Aare. Discover the famous Atreu Stork Station in and the Witi information centre. The historical city of Büren, the town on the Aare, is worth a visit. But you can also just enjoy the boat trip from Solothurn to Biel. You can find more information on www.solothurn-city.ch.
