"This signposted route begins along the southern shore of Lake Neuchâtel. Starting from the medieval town of Estavayer-le-Lac, we take the quiet and undisturbed paths far from traffic all the way to Portalban. We then climb towards the winemaking villages of the Vully. We cross Chabrey followed by Montmagny before descending again towards Constantine. Wide panoramic views of Lake Murten reveal themselves to us. Past Salavaux, we head towards Avenches, the former capital of Roman Helvetia. Then we follow the valley of the Broye towards Payerne before crossing the valley to reach Estavayer-le-Lac once again."
