"With my pupils, we held our autumn course in the Franches-Montagnes. We took the train as far as Saignelégier before setting out on foot along the educational trail of the Randoline to the Les Cerlatez Nature Centre, about an hour's walk. One of my colleagues had told me about the "nature discovery" rates offered by the Centre, so I had booked a guided tour of the exhibition and the Etang de la Gruère nature reserve. We had a picnic between the two, at some tables placed near the pond. It is a nice place with space for a fire and there are even barbecues available. Then we walked to Tramelan station. The pupils were surprised to find out that there were carnivorous plants near to the pond and, thanks to some interesting stories, they learned about the peat-working methods of the past."
