"This tour with fabulous views begins less than two kilometres (1¼ miles) outside Biel/Bienne. The first obligatory photo stop will be reached after just a few hundred metres: a unique view with St. Peter’s Island as its centrepiece. The deep blue waters of Lake Biel are a constant companion from now on. In Twann/Douanne, the second attractive motif is waiting to be photographed. The picturesque and rambling alleyways create a homely atmosphere. It is just the same in Ligerz, whose famous church is probably the most popular photo stop. The tour ends in the historic town of La Neuveville – or Neuenstadt, as the German-speaking people of Berne call it. The old town is well worth seeing and an inviting place to stay."
