“I was very pleased to set off, because I couldn’t wait to see the Roman road and the famous rock of Pierre-Pertuis, a pass traversal, which was already in use in Roman times. I knew that the route would be a bit difficult. We had a great lunch on the terrace of the Hôtel - Restaurant Werdtberg on the mountain Montoz. The meal and a glass of the local wine from La Neuveville made me forget how difficult the climb had been.”
