"I remember taking a winter holiday in Montfaucon with our children. We were thinking about taking a ride with some sled dogs. Unfortunately there were no more dogs available, so the lady at the tourist office advised us to take a little ride on a sleigh drawn by horses instead - and why not? We gave in to temptation and made a booking. It was a real pleasure. Wrapped up nice and warm, we "glided" along a sort of specially prepared piste. At times we might have thought we were in Siberia, at others it felt like Finland. The snow and ice squealed beneath the skates. The children were sure they saw Father Christmas among the snow-covered fir trees!"
