Winter walk: Lothurm

"On a wonderfully snowy winter’s day, we found ourselves heading towards Magglingen. My friend and I travelled up in the funicular. We followed the hiking trail towards the Lothurm through a fabulous section of forest. Crossing a meadow, we reached the Lothurm and tackled the steps. At a height of around 10 metres we reached the platform with a wonderful view of the Mittelland, the Three-Lakes Region and the snow-covered Alps. Once we were back down, we trudged straight through the fresh snow to the Hohmatt restaurant to enjoy a hot chocolate on the terrace."
