"One Sunday, on a beautiful winter’s day, we decide to set off on a hike across the uplands of Biel/Bienne. After all, there is more to winter than skis, snowboards or snowshoes. The Three-Lakes Region is highly suitable for winter hiking. So, we take the funicular to Magglingen, sitting at the front of the car so we can enjoy the panoramic view (unless the Biel/Bienne fog makes an appearance). On arrival, we take the paths covered in snow but ready for the arrival of hikers via the “End of the World” and the Hohmatt. At the Twannberg/Douanne mountain, we take a short break at the Twannberg restaurant. On the way back, we followed the same path. In fact there is a second option: the “spa pavilion path” through the forest. All the same, in winter I advise you to follow the path through the fields because it is sunny!"
