"We boarded the boat in Murten in fine weather and made ourselves comfortable on the deck. Our children were delighted to feel the headwind ruffle their hair and to see the waves lapping against the bow. But they were even more excited by the windsurfers gliding past the boat on the lively north-east wind. As for us grown-ups, we thought the wonderful view of the Vully with its charming winemaking villages and the impressive Alpine mountain range was gorgeous – absolutely terrific! When our youngest son threw his little piece of towelling overboard at Faoug, we thought the outing might end in disaster – but the captain stopped the engines and had the escapee fished out of the water. What an experience!"
